About us

I am a fully qualified and insured Equine Sports and Rehabilitation Massage Therapist. I trained and studied with Wolds Equine Rehabilitation & Training in 2020 and graduated with a distinction. I am a professional member of the IAAMB (International Association of Animal Massage and Bodywork) and  I also have an honours degree in Equine Science from Hartpury College.

I have been around horses for over 20 years! Here are some of my highlights:

  • Awarded a Talented Athlete Scholarship (TASS) - Dressage.

  • Riding for the Hartpury Equine Academy - Development Dressage Squad

  • Dressage lesson with Olympic medalist Carl Hester.

  • Training and lessons at Talland School of Equestrian.

  • Getting work experience at the Hartpury Equine Therapy center.

  • Completing a year's placement at Edinburgh Veterinary School as a Veterinary Technician and Equine Grass Sickness Nurse.

  • Importing my horse Superleen (Elleena) from Holland.

  • Competing at regional affiliated dressage.

Over the course of my training, I have studied the equine anatomy in detail. I have learnt how unique and integral all of the systems of the horse are. As an Equine Therapist I believe it is fundamental to have a full understanding of the equine anatomy and to appreciate how complex these systems are. Understanding the science behind these intricate systems allows us as therapists to use massage as a technique to help horses.

The science rationale for massage has been supported and documented in research along with its  benefits. Like with many areas of research, a comparison to human studies helps us to evaluate current practices. For example, it helps to be able to relate to human athletic training and how massage along with other complementary therapies can improve performance, recovery and longevity. The increasing demand on performance of our equine athletes is evident everywhere in competition and training.  As owners of horses, we have a responsibility to keep our animals healthy and free of any injuries or ailments.
